Decks Updated!
Alright, so I actually went through and did a proper update to each of my best deck set ups. You can check them out in their relative locations but if you're wondering about a quick look on what's going on here it is.
Demons:
Rare: Demonic Slave added to offense, Eligos added to defense.
HR: NM, HATTER, DK, TROW, TROW offensively. I also have commentary about how using Pan in the lead spot actually has a mild increase on it.
Wraith, Marsyas, Marsyas, BM, BM defensively. I also have commentary mentioning how Marsyas, Xuanwu, Xuanwu, BM, BM is viable.
SR: Jabberwock x2 added offensively, Hamelin added defensively with a brief commentary about using it with Xuan/BM combo.
Gods:
Rare: Animone added to defense deck
HR: TROW, PANx2, SVx2 offensively.
Apsara, Xuanwux4 defensively.
SR: Haniel, Cait, Cait, Thor, Thor offensively.
Sleipnirx5 defense with commentary on how you really should just use Sleip, Apsara x2, Xuanwu x2.
Man:
Rare: I added Holy lancer to the defense
HR: Clay, M.Arch x2, and Dragoon x2 offensively.
Paladin, Queen x2, and M. Astrologist x2 defensively.
SR: Griffon Rider and Achilles x4 offensively.
Oddly, Lancelot x1 and Longi x4 since Longi has higher base defense. With commentary that if you're using 5th Evo it goes back to Longi x1 and Lancelot x4.
Anyway, it's all in the posts.

A couple of things that need to be edited...
ReplyDeleteJust in this post: I think you meant High Lancer instead of Holy Lancer.
Master Bard > Master Astrologist, though only by an insignificant double-digit value. At 6-max they both round off to 18k.
The explanations for man HR attack deck needs to be updated for the Archer-Claymore switch.
I haven't looked at the posts for other realms, but some of the stats you listed for man R/HR seems a bit off.
I post R at 6-2. HR at 6max. I may have accidentally used 4max's on reflex.
DeleteI'll have to correct Astro/Bard situation.
I also have a question...you still call for dupes(duplicates). what about the latest and greatest skill change. is it worth keeping dupes now?
ReplyDeleteGood question raised here. I have seen preliminary results of the latest proc rates for dupe skills and it seems the chances of a dupe skill to proc after it has proc once or twice has been reduced to half (e.g. from 50% it becomes 25%). And that is irregardless of the skill level. This is rather significant from what Lucarda have predicted earlier.
DeleteLucarda if you don't mind that I post a link from a forum, you can read it here: http://robforums.com/game-discussion/proc-rate-formulas-%28based-on-proc-rate-data-collection-2-0%29/
And just like Faayberi, I would like to know if it is still worth keeping dupes as I am currently building my DEF deck and your input will greatly.
5-card decks aren't completely obsolete. You'd still have a pretty good shot at a 2-proc. What you'd have to decide for yourself is whether the improvements are worth the cost and effort of replacing your duplicates.
DeleteI have already read that forum and in a comment section previously addressed it. It doesn't change much except making the top card shift mandatory in most cases.
DeletePreviously, it was the norm for only two cards to proc. Swapping out the top card ensures two cards will proc again. In most cases trying to ensure all unique buffs actually makes your deck weaker and inconsistent.
That is why you see duplicates. You try to balance stats and buffs assuming two procs. If you design your decks assuming three procs, it is a mistake.
Hmm, I guess I misread the earlier question. Anyway...
DeleteUsing a deck with 5 unique cards would be good if there were that many options available. Adding to what Lucarda said, to focus so much on skills usually requires giving up some stats. Sometimes you'd see another card that has an equally strong skill, but its stats might be a few hundred points lower. You'd have to decide if that's worth a slightly better chance at a 3-proc.
For defense, I would never risk that. For attack, however, I can afford to have a bit of inconsistency, since all I need is one good hit to crack the opponent's defense leader.
Having 2 of the same card isnt much of a big deal. Even with the new skill change I have two clays and they both go off about 70% of the time with one always going off since its my main.
DeleteI have a budget of 300-1000 HP (depending on whether or not a few ssr sell) and I'm planning on updating my decks before the new HW.
ReplyDeleteRunning 2x Clay, 2x M ARcher, Dragoon for ATK and 2x Paladin, QoH, Longi, Captain for DEF.
What do you recommend? Thinking of getting Achilles+Griffon Rider or one card for atk, one card for def.
In Demon HR ATK Deck you skipped Dragonewt Princess. Was this on purpose?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be better than a Demonic Knight or one of the Trow Elfs?
Cheers
Nevermind, just read the other post. My plan at this moment is
DeleteNM / Jabberwocky / Mad Hatter / Newt / Trow
What do you think of this Deck?
Hey Lucarda,
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you once said that it's good to have Anti-Realm decks.
So I'm thinking of building a Nekomata, a Lailaps and an Ark Dragon.
My ATK deck is now (demon): Nightmare (skl 8), Mad Hatter (skl 4), Crystalia Lily (skl 6), Trow Elf (skl 6) and a White Rabbit (skl 5).
All are 6-6 evovled.
And what card should I replace?
Or do you consider this all as waste....
Switch the trow and c lily so of its boost goes off it will help boost your god cards up
DeleteFor Man players on a budget I found that substituting Dragoon for White Rabbit is considerably cheaper. The fact that its a god card obviously makes it much, much weaker, but the price difference is even bigger.
ReplyDeleteWith white rabbit having been at 2hp with over 18k attack and a pretty decent skill i believe it would have it's place in most "cheap" hr decks. Although now the price seem to have gone up a bit again, making it less of a bargain (but still very much useful, certainly for god realm anyway).
ReplyDeleteI'm adding a Trow to my God deck, but for an extra 11 HP I can make it a 6-6 instead of a 4-6. I am strongly leaning towards making a 4-6 and spending the extra 11 HP trying to skill it to at least 6-7. The difference is about 550 base, so I lose about 600 attacks with boosts over a 4-6. It just doesn't seem that important. Let me know what you think.
ReplyDeleteYou have the right idea with skilling it up.
DeleteI'd aim for 6-max evos for HRs unless they're easily replaceable wing cards. SRs are the next big leap, and at the current prices it will certainly take a while to get there. Might as well make the most out of the HRs.
DeleteDefinitely level up the good skills though.
wish i read all this before i started playing rob 4 months ago! reading all this just make me feel like more of a noob everytime lol currently at 59/68 atk/def. all my cards r noob 4-7 def i run wraith, sac witch, chimera, wildcat, manticore. atk sac witch, melsine, skullrider, succub, dslave. working on skillin the good important cards and trying to add dkight, mhatter just enchaning these card r a b**** so tell me how bad my decks sucks lucarda and thoughts how to improve. oh yea only have 40hp i ranked 5668 night event. thanks all who help!
ReplyDeleteImo you should work to upgrade your deck to using some of the better HR cards while staying away from the very best (which are too expensive). I am unfamiliar with demon cards, so cant really be more specific, but if you spend some time on the bazaar (search "demon" "HR" "any" repeatedly whenever you have time and check what cards that pop up on the first couple pages and the prices they have) you will probably find some cards that are affordable and that would make a drastic improvement to your deck.
DeleteIf there are any HR demon cards that got released now you might wanna look into them, when newly released cards flood the market prices can drop very low. I play in god realm (only played about 6 weeks), and i've picked up the newly released god HR def card Eos (probably the 2nd best god def HR card) for 3-4 hp a piece now.
Also, imo, dont bother skilling up the the rare evos (ie, HR rarity in final form). Focus on HR cards that you might end up keeping a while.
Oh, and getting DK and MH is ofc awesome for you if they are affordable enough still!
DeleteJust a few questions. Currently with all the power creep and cheap HR, is it still possible to remain competitive with a top tier HR deck? Is the difference in skill level sufficient or there is no other option but to move to SR and above.
ReplyDeleteI am running HR deck which less den a mth ago, it is still consider good enuf to punch above my weight, but currently, i am not sure at all.
Attack:
6-6 trow skill 5
4max Pan skill 4
4max c. lilies skill 4
2x 4max Ancient fairy
Def:
4max Aspara skill 10
4max Xuanwu skill 4
4max Shield angel skill 4
4max Aspara skill 3
4max princi
I am a noob, but i would guess your deck could use some upgrading. Could you afford replacing one of the ancient fairys with a thor? Or even better, buy a cait sith, bumping the crystalia lily to 4th spot and get rid of an ancient fairy.
DeleteOtherwise you could just focus on upgrading your 4card evos to 6cards. It will be cheap, you can replace the crystalia with a 6-7 white rabbit (bases can be bought for about 4hp each) and gain 400 attack, and probably make a profit. Sell the ancient fairy 4-evos that arent skilled up anyway and then scout the bazaar for good deals on bases and build a 6-7 or 6-11 You can get them for 2hp each, and a 6-7 is 500 more attack, plus should hold its value better than a 4-7.
I need some help. My current atk deck is ifrit sk10, pan sk 3(needs to be skilled) ifrit sk8 crystal lily sk3 elder. I got extremely lucky and pulled marduke plus icurs and I curently have 500hp. I'm making a rabit to switch out elder. sword valk seems like the best way to help my deck for boosting. But as wings go should I buy some gilgas and switch out the lily or keep them the same and save up for a haniel or fox spirit. I don't kno wat to do lol.
ReplyDeleteQuestion. When looking to get into the sr and SSR rare cards, why do you only show the 4/6 evolution and not a 6/11? Is it just too expensive to go that many cards?
ReplyDeleteCost and availability. A 6max costs a lot more to create for a mild increase. Also, when you go to resell it you will have far fewer buyers and those that would buy will want a huge discount since they can get a 4max for such a low price.
Delete@Lucarda I was wondering do you think it is better to have a 13% debuff to an opponents realm or a 11.5% buff to demon realm?
ReplyDeleteThe higher % buff or debuff is always better since skills are additive.
Deletemy att deck is: 5 claymore with skills of 10,10,9,5,5
ReplyDeleteand my def deck is: 2 paladin 10, 8 and 2 captain and 1 master bard
can u tell me if my decks are stronger than your recommended ones or not?
and how would i improve my decks.
Thank you very much!
Hi Lucarda,
ReplyDeleteOnce again thanks for all your useful information, it helped me improve a lot.
Now if you could help me with some advice for my decks I would appreciate.
Right now my attack is:
4-6 Trow,
4-6 Pan,
4-6 Pan,
6-10 White Rabbit and
4-6 Cristalya Lily
Which gives me a base of 90K, the skills are being taken care, the only issue is that Pans don't seem to proc as often as I would desire so I was thinking on building a Sword Valk to replace Lily in order to increase my buff instead of debuffing cards. What do you think?
Now about my defense:
4-6 Apsara,
4-6 Apsara,
4-6 Eos,
4-6 Xuanwu and
4-6 Ninetails.
I also have another 4-6 Eos but don't think it would fit in there. Any thoughts?
I also would like to move to SR cards and would like to know where should I start, I'll have roughly 450HP if I manage to sell some fully evolved Ifrits, Shield Angles, etc and needed your thoughts in order to improve.
By the way I've a 4-6 Princi Skill 10 (32HP on bazaar! Crazy!) and was thinking if you find that a Chiron would suit me better for nex HW.
Thanks again Lucarda,
Jareth
i'd personally want all my cards to be 6-7 before going to SR but you have the hp to do it. Michael is really cheap at the moment and gilgamesh is crazy cheap for a SR wing. If you say you haven't skilled all your cards yet skilling them before selling them will make getting SR cards a lot easier. Just depends how quickly you want to change.
DeleteHi Lucarda!!
ReplyDeleteFirst congrats for all work you have!!
Well, my attack deck is NM, Hatter, DK, 2 x Trow Elf and now want to do a next step so i was thinking in work on a Jabberwock or Jormungand what you think? And after finish the new one ill take the place of a trow elf or other?
Thanks fopr your time, keep the good work!!
Regards
Rui Terra
Go Jabberwock.
DeleteAlso, when you finish it, keep both Trows, run Jab, Hat, DK, 2xTrow. You will pretty much always have 2 procs.
If you replaced a Trow, you might get an extra buff chance, but you will have spent 550+HP for what? 1000 more attack and 2% stronger buff? If you replace a NM you will be gaining 5000 more attack and 2% stronger buff.
Good point of view : )
DeleteJabberwocky is the stronger skill and their ATK stat is basically the same for 4-7 evos. I'd go for the jabber unless you really are in need of a multipurpose ATK and def card. I'd ditch a trow but don't forget jabber had a better skill then dk so once you skill it up place it higher in the deck then the dk.
ReplyDelete-Sephon
You forgot about Jabberwock's best feature. You get to say Jabberwock frequently.
DeleteI have a deck with 5 different cards. Running my deck i have to say that i generally 3 proc almost 60% of the time and have only 1 proc'd once out about 50 battles. With that said, is it still the general consensus that you should have multiples like ABBCC and the sort. With the below deck, i base 3 proc at 164K, base 2 proc at 155K and beat almost all decks of similar rarity:
ReplyDelete1 - FF Ifrit Sk 10 14.9K atk
2 - FF Valk Hild Sk 6 14.1K atk
3 - FF Pan Sk 7 17.9K atk
4 - FF White Rabbit Sk 4 18.2K atk
5 - FF Gilgamesh Sk 5 19.6K atk
The only decks that i have had issues with are the much more expensive SSR decks. I must say that the new HW format does make for some interesting battles :) All thoughts are welcomed.
Thanks,
Ped007
my att deck is: 5 claymore with skills of 10,10,9,5,5
ReplyDeleteand my def deck is: 2 paladin 10, 8 and 2 captain and 1 master bard
can u tell me if my decks are stronger than your recommended ones or not?
and how would i improve my decks.
Thank you very much!
Please help!
Great blog by the way.
ReplyDeleteNow to my question i'm Demons deck,I have Trow Elf wing,Mad Hatter,Skoll,Demonic Knight and Nightmare front and centre,im building a Dark General which card should make way,if any,all my deck are 4/7 build except Skoll whos 6/3,I intend to build Dark General 4/7.
Thanks in advance.
I feel that hit to realm attack decks work way better than boost decks. Any chance we will see these kinda decks posted up?
ReplyDeleteHey Lucarda, once again thank you for the really impressive blog. I got really lucky after HW and pulled moon, managed to get 400hp for it and was wondering what to do. I have
ReplyDelete19k trow skill 7
18k pan skill 10
14.9k ifrit skill 6
13.5k ifrit skill 3
17k Principality skill 4
I was thinking of copying the best HR deck and getting another pan skill 10 but didn't know what to do about wings. Or if I should get an SR front card. But my thoughts were get 2 Gilgamesh at 19 and the skill 10 pan. and then replace principality with a skill 10 chiron. And I know I need to skill trow to skill 10 but it is being really difficult to skill. Any help would be really appreciated.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI WAS going for all Clays when the skill activation rules changed. I have (in this order)
Clay lvl. 10
Griffon Rider 7
Clay 6
Clay 5
Berzerker 6
Should I put Berzerker in spot 3 for a greater chance of skill activation or leave the Claymore there because if she DOES activate, its much better?
To follow-up, I did swap the Berzerker into the 3rd spot and I'm getting 3 skills activated more now.
ReplyDeleteIts random. Technically it wouldn't make a difference with the way skills activate.
DeleteThe first skill has 100% chance, then each card is tested at a 50% chance until one activates, then the final card is calculated at a 25% chance until one activates.
So, if 1 and 2 activate there is a 25% chance of 3 activating, 4 activating, and 5 activating. Now, if the card is a duplicate proc (as they would be) they would be calculated like so:
Clay 100%
Griff 50%
Clay 12.5% (1/2 of 25% for the duplicate penalty)
Clay 12.5% (1/2 of 25% for the duplicate penalty)
Berzerker 25%
Changing the order did this:
Clay 100%
Griff 50%
Berserker 25%
Clay 12.5%
Clay 12.5%
As you can see, there is an equal chance of the cards proccing overall. Now, what you DID manage to do, is increase the odds that Berserker is one of the procs INSTEAD of a Claymore maid since if 1,2,3 go off, 4/5 can't.
Do you think Skoll would be better in place of Trow? Less Atk but does the chance of the debuff make up for it?
ReplyDelete
