Over 500,000 Views!

As of this morning I noticed that my website had surpassed 500,000 Views!

I appreciate everybody who reads my blog on Rage of Bahamut. I know a lot of people message me in game and a lot of times don't get a response so I'm taking my time hear to let you know that I do appreciate my readers. I generally don't respond in game because I hate the typing interface, or I just didn't notice it until days after you posted.

If it weren't for the two week trading ban and the horrible debacle that was the payouts on my last contest I would do another contest. Those who played know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, keep reading I'm always hoping to contribute more and more useful information to people. I want you to know no matter what country your from I always want new readers and I don't penalize for poor English skills.

Obviously at this point people are probably coming to the realization that we are pretty close to hitting a wall of information where there isn't much more that I can teach you. After all, there are people who read this site who actually have way better decks than me! (Disclaimer: I do split my HP between 3 accounts and none of which are stam heavy accounts, otherwise I could have much more powerful decks but hell, I love stacking my HW rewards).

In regards to that there may end up being some postings that occur in the future that aren't completely related to Rage of Bahamut. Don't worry, they won't be more posts like my Work from no home post. I know that making money online isn't the reason people read a gaming blog. Besides, that's the only online money making system I've found that's legitimate (and it's still kind of hard).

But I will probably post some random news related things that I hope my readers will contribute in relating to incoming games and things of that nature. I'm hoping to add some gaming reviews and open discussions on games.

And example of this would be if I made a post on Final Fantasy 13 and pointing out the last decent Final Fantasy game was X and what the creators have to get back to. Or if I made a post about the top Five Hottest Video Game women and why. I will still continue to add Rage of Bahamut content, but these posts might be added in between updates.

Now, at this points I would like you to let me know if this is something you'd hate or stop reading because of. If it is and I get an overwhelming negative response, I won't do it. I want to keep my readers, but I want all my readers to understand as well that I want to give them enjoyable content and Rage of Bahamut doesn't change enough to warrant a new post every three days.

Anyway, there was a tangent. Once again, thanks for reading! I appreciate all the fans I have for this blog and I appreciate all the messages you send me in game, even if I don't reply to each of them!

  1. Congrats on getting more than half a mil of readers. Your blogs are terrific.I love reading all the post for some bits of info that can help me with the game. You are a real awesome person for taking the time to reply and constantly give great advice/tips to people about the game.

Btw... I totally agree with you about final fantasy X being the last decent game of the FF series. I would actually like to read what you think the creators need to do to get the series back to what made it so great.

    1. I have not. I played original GW though. Right now I'm on break from WoW though. A little burned out.

  3. I hope people are open to some general game discussion. My only hesitation would be if it slows down the Bahamut posts. I have not spent money on it, and I am still finding it rather difficult to accumulate wealth through the Bazaar.

I have been a reader for a while now, a few months or longer, but this is my first post. Great site! I think you do a good job and you are clearly knowledgeable. One thing I like about you is how you do not mince your words. Well done!

    1. Well, I wouldn't say I'm particularly quick on Bahamut posts to begin with.

  4. Congratulations! Have you got a chance to play Marvel: War of Heroes? Very similar to RoB and I think have the potential to be a huge hit. Curious to know what you think. Here's my referral code for the game cwp005704. :-)

    1. Have not played Marvel. Currently though between LoC and RoB I'm cached on TCG at the moment.

    2. The cool thing about Marvel is the rich universe of characters on the cards, which I actually take time to read their interesting back story. It is fun to collect your favorite characters and see the different variations. Unlike RoB, which I barely read their cards.

  5. Hey Lucarda congratz on the half a mil views :)

You will not loose me as a reader if you begin to post about other games. But may I suggest a topic that I believe you have yet to cover in RoB? The topic being skill leveling. I still have no idea of how of the best way to get my Apsara to skill level 10. You could clear my confusion about using skill level 2 skill feeders and give a skill level by skill level recommendation for the types of skill feeders to use for each rarity.

Thanks for hearing out my plea :)
Good luck with the continuation of your blog.

    1. In my experience if the card is S Rare or lower in its final form Skilled High Normals 9 at a time are the best way

SSR on up you use HN for the first couple levels, then treasure HR, then Devil Queens. Depending on rarity.

Either way, it's expensive as hell. I can make a post on it in the future though.

  6. Hey Lucarda,

Something that might be good content for RoB followers is you giving an editorial/opinion piece on new cards as they come out with respects to how they stack up to existing cards, I know for a lot of longer tenured users who are more familiar with the mechanics it can be driven intuitively (i.e Holy Dragoon is still worse than Clay Maid because of the buff to single vs debuff to all values being weighted separately), but coming in much cheaper per card.

Part of that can even extend to market predictions when a new card clearly outclasses an existing card and what you can expect in terms of price trending for people looking to complete older evolutions or wanting to sell before value starts tanking.

Or cases where card pack promotions could be more valuable than others because of the new cards being released and the demand for them.

I know you mentioned in comments for the Castle event that you felt strongly that placing top 3k for Hekate would be a very profitable investment, and I think that might be an area you can explore more for future events and card pack promotions!

    Regards,

    1. Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that you can only reasonably do well in a stam event if you have a stam heavy feeder account though :P

  7. I doubt that I would stop following you just because you''ll be posting occasionally for other games. If It gets to a point with like, 5 non RoB posts per 1 that is re: RoB, then I might consider it though. Personally I wouldn't mind one RoB post every week or every two weeks, that might be better tan sudden inundation with other games. I like your blog not only because it really is super full of great information, but it's also good for raising discussion points.

    1. Oh god nothing like that I hope. I just know that every now and then I want to deliver new content but I'm not in the mood to write a full on RoB post and research it.

Right now I try to make sure I post at least once per week and often aiming for twice a week. I'm just sure I'd be willing to add a third post every other week if it were about something that was grabbing my attention atm.

  8. Congrats man, you do a great service to all RoB players who read your blog. You are a great video game writer and I'm looking forward for future posts :)

  9. You could cover the Jap version of the game and what Mobage/Cygames have in their pipeline.

  10. I'm actually interested in how that book ends up working out for you. Since so many reviews on similar products reek of marketing gimmicks, it would be nice to see an unbiased review once you have sufficient experience with it. On a side note, SE needs to bring back a proper over world. I was sad when the airship in X turned out to be a teleport hub.

    1. Merging with Enix was the worst mistake squaresoft ever made in my opinion. Games went downhill ever since. I'm pretty sure they only did it to get into the MMO market and that experiment couldn't be called a success.

X's airship really pissed me off. I do consider the sphere grid, blitzball, Summoning system, and Auron to be complete successes though. I thought Tidas was a crybaby "whaa, I live in daddy's shadow" but the other characters were so good it made up for it. Villain was meh.

I don't have time to write a full update on the book. I can tell you that my end 30 day result was 250 in a month and really tapered off since but I haven't been able to commit much time which is my fault. I really wish I could figure out how to apply the system to the online gaming niche effectively.

  12. Your blog was 100% helpful in picking up this game and preventing me from making noob mistakes.

I have one question though. How do you deal with people who farm your account for honor points and money? I am continuously attacked by the same person every day. I cannot stop his attack and he cannot stop mine. It is just annoying imo.

    1. Personally I just attack them back for my rupies, in one particularly annoying case I had my order farm the shit out of one person til they gave up. There is another trick though.

If you set only 1 low level card to defense they will only get 0-1 honor for attacking. As for rupies you can trade a large sum of them to an alt account if its on your friends list to keep the rupies in limbo.
