Sorry about Deck Upgrade Delays

Seriously, I would love to upgrade decks but I can't remember all cards and their stats off the top of my head and the wiki has been down all week for me. I really want to upgrade the decks to get it out of the way but the wikipedia is making it impossible unless I can somehow remember every card, its stats and its buff.

So, instead I'm just going to give you a rough update from memory. Keep in mind some of these decks are build just accepting the fact that 90% of the time they will get two buffs and virtually never get 3 buffs or 1 buff.

Demon:
I can tell you for Demon Realm I'm going to be recommending Hatter, Demonic Knight, Dragonewt, Trow, Trow offensively in HR. This will try to get 3 buffs by using 3 different cards, but will get 2 buffs most of the time.

In SR offense I'll probably be recommending Hecate, Jabberwocky, Jabberwokey, Sutekh, Sutekh. This way you can ensure two buffs and still get three buffs regularly.

In HR defense it will still be Wraith 4BM. Only two buffs but there really isn't a better option off the top of my head.

SR Defense Hamelin and I have no clue after that. I'm guessing it would end up Hamelin, 2 BM, 2 TV or Death.

Man:
In man realm the new HR will be M. Arch. 2 Clay. 2 Dragoon. This way players have good odds for 3 procs, great odds for two procs. You use M. Archer in the top spot because it allows you to use 2 Clays for higher base stats.

**I have been informed that M.Arch has higher stats than Clay. That would mean we should actually use Clay, M.Archx2 and Dragoonx2. Remember, I did this with no Wiki, so not bad all things considered **

Defense will be Paladin, Queen of Heartsx2, M. Astro x2. Most the time a player will get two solid procs from this deck. If they wanted they could use 4 Queens.

In SR Man will be probably running Griffon Rider Leader with 4 Achilles. Griffon rider is the leader so you can have the higher base stats of Achilles x4. Players could also use 2 Master Alchemist wings if they didn't want to use 4x Achilles.

SR defense will be running Four Lances with a Longi leader defensively. Longi leader so players can take advantage of using 4x Lances since they have higher stats.

God:
God realm will probably be using Trow, Pan, Pan, SV, SV or the white rabbit in those spots in HR. Maximizes god/demon buffs while giving an all buff from the wings.

Defensively a player could either run 3 Apsara and 2 Xuanwu hoping to trigger three while using Xuanwu as a safetynet, or run One Apsara lead with 4 Xuanwu settling for a two proc.

SR will probably run Haniel Lead, Cait Sith, Fox Spirit, Thor, Thor.  Almost a sure 2 proc, with decent odds at a 3 proc.

Defensively Sleipnir lead, probably just use your Apsara and Xuanwu from HR. SR defense cards in god are still lacking.

So there's a rough update off the top of my head since Wiki was down. I'm not going to edit my posts because I prefer to write the attack/defense as well as the buff and I just can't remember the full attack/defense. I also will want to double check to ensure it's right.

  1. why 4 cards still for sr man def?

anyway, been absent this holiday season but heres my current deck:
    3 clay sk10
    2 achilles sk10

    2 lance sk10
    1 pal sk10
    2 long sk5

now, what should i change with this deck?
i was thinking of a high skilled mimi as lead card for atk/lead or an alice.
or buy 2 more lances sk10 since you suggested 1 long 4 lance.

and how should i place the cards?
    mimi/alic
    clay
    clay
    achi
    achi

    OR mimi/alic
    clay
    achi
    clay
    achi

    1. I still use 4 Lances because of the very high base defense and by using 4 we can pretty much be 100% sure of getting a skill proc out of one of them.

You would want the Clays in the 2/3 spots. Mimi or Alice are both good options. You don't need 4 Lances. I just recommend it because his base stats are so good.

  2. and should i sell my sk10 lances and build a 5th form instead?

    1. I know a lot of people doing that. A lot smarter than evoing from skill 10.

  3. btw, my order keeps on suggesting on 5 different cards and most of them have 100K++ decks. but i kinda disagree with them and dont want to spend unwanted hp on wrong information.

sorry for 3 posts, cant find the edit comment

  4. I'd recommend Marsyas instead of Bloody Mistress. Its cheaper and only has 1.5k less def but has a 2% better boost Then you could also add a pair of Xuanwu's to the deck to help make the difference up. My current def is Wraith (sk4) Marsy (sk4) Bloody (sk 5) Chim(Sk3) Hatter and I have the cards to build another Marsy to replace my Hatter.

  5. Given the fondness of duplicated cards, would it not be advisable to put together a strong deck of 5 different cards to enhance your chance at that third proc? For example, and i know we have discussed my deck, but im running:
    1 - FF Ifrit Skill 10
    2 - FF Valk Hild Skill 6
    3 - FF Pan Skill 7
    4 - FF Gilgimesh Skill 5
    5 - FF Chiron Skill 3
My base with this deck is 85K with a Proc range of 1 Proc at 118K, 2 Procs at 135K and 3 Procs at 145K. Would i want to max that chance of the third Proc by trying to keep the deck clean of dups?

Eventually, i would like to upgrade the Ifrit and/or VH to a Haniel but this is what i can afford atm. Hopefully in line for 2 wight kings and hoping i will be able to make up some the HP spent so far.

As always, thoughts are welcome and appreciated :)

    1. The new rules for skill change have given us the way to set up our decks. If you read the example they used....

(e.g. With a deck that consists of three Bahamuts, one Hekate and one Hermes. When attacking, if the first skill activated is Hekate’s “Twilight Proposition,” and the second skill activated is Bahamut’s “Catastrophe” then the chance of Catastrophe being activated on the third skill is reduced, while the chance of Hermes’ “Caduceus” is increased.)

With that being said duplicates could actually be the proper way in setting up the decks since after the lead card procs, followed by a card with a duplicate, it INCREASES the chance for the remaining cards to proc.

So technically having 3 duplicates of a card may not be a bad thing after all.

      Delete
    2. Duplicates are fine when you consider that all you should ever really be aiming for is your decks power when two cards proc. Third procs should be looked at as bonuses because it will still have a low chance of happening.

For the deck above for example it will get Valk OR Pan procing most the time. Very rarely will it be both. The best way to play a deck at the moment would probably be ABBCC. Otherwise if you have cards like Hatter/Demonic Knight in Demon, you can do ABCDD for a very mild increase in third proc chance.

      Delete
    3. Fair enough. Do i at least have the order setup for best results? Should i switch Pan and Gilgi since i saw 124 and 125 happen a lot more than i ever saw 123 happen last hw? Also, if this were your deck, what card would you aim to change and what for going all out? What cards would would you change if you were restricted in HP?

      Thanks!

      Delete
    4. I'd look to toss the Hild for something because of her low stats. I still say 123 because you will also see 134 and 135 happen a lot. What you don't see often is a 14 or 15. That's why your top three buffs go in the top 3 spots, to hopefully get 2 out of three since a third proc rarely happens.

Restricted HP I wouldn't worry about getting new cards, but generating more HP.

  6. Master Bard is a heartbeat better than M. Astro for man DEF (+44 at 8-15), exact same skill

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I was going off of memory since I didn't have the Wiki or a card list to go by. I also don't waste time with 8-15 builds. I normally say go with 6max or 4max.

      Delete
    2. Yep. It is currently the highest defense man HR , though the skill isn't impressive. If only they would re-release Holy Lancer...

Also, Master Archer has slightly higher attack than Claymore Maid (18428 vs. 17962 at 6-10), so I would probably switch them around.

  7. is it advisable for demons to get longinus and lancelot x4 for def?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's advisable for all realms do to so actually in the SR category for defense. Eventually swapping that Longi for an Arthur as soon as possible.

I also just need to check if there's another SR man card that can be an alternative to stacking four lances. Ideally I want an ABBCC scenario.

      Delete
    2. Unfortunately I don't think there are any good alternatives. Longinus and Lancelot are the two highest defense SR man cards. They're also the only ones with defensive skills, not counting Witchcrafter's hit to foe's gods attack. Stats-wise, the gap is fairly large between the two cards and everything else.

  8. Just wondering why NM was out of the demon HR deck? Is the stat difference for NM, DK, Hat, Trow, Trow that far off? Right now I'm using DN and Trow as wings due to a friend's suggestion, Is this wrong? thanks.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually it's probably because I don't have the exact stats anywhere since I can't get on wiki.

After doing rough math, DN did less than 1k more. NM probably is better in the long run though because then you have 100% chance at a 13% buff and 2x the chance of 10% instead of 100% 10% and then either another 10% or an 8%.

Cost for result, I can tell you I would run NM, Hatter, and DK.

  9. Need help with my ATT deck. Gonna have 700-800 Hp to spend freely on my deck. Cards are as follows
    6-11 TRISTAN
    4-7 CLAY
    6-7 MASTER ARCH
    6-7 DRAGONSLAYER
8-15 MASTER BARD. I'm aware this a def card.
I was looking at Achilles or Gawain. Wat would you recommend I buy to strengthen my ATT deck. Please any and all help. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Achilles. It's just really good for its stats.

      Delete
  10. Gawain is basically Achilles with a better ability and slightly higher attack... for more than double the price. Considering your budget, Achilles would be the more likely choice.

That's an interesting deck you've got there.

    1. Yea, if first three proc, I'm seeing up to 145k, the dragonslayer is there for emergency. Achilles was in mind tho Gawain does look badass. Oh my base is 86k I think. I kno master bard has to go. Should I buy 2 Achilles in place of DS and MB. Should I throw another clay in or should I go for Demonic Knight

  11. I love this site, great advice about ROB.
What are the thoughts on high atk cards with debuffs to certain realms? I run NM skill 10, DK skill 9, tia 5 form, trow, trow. I atk god realm mostly, sometimes demon, and was wondering if I should build a hatter to replace a trow, or build a ded moroz. The setup I use is NM - DK - Tia - Trow - Trow.
    Thanks for any advice.

    1. The idea of leading attacks with realm-targeting cards was brought up recently. It would give you an extra skill which helps with proc rates.

I'm not a big fan of that though. There's always a chance you'll run into someone who anticipates these debuffs and uses off-realm cards for defense. After all, losing 5% realm bonus is better than getting hit by a 20% debuff.

      Delete
    2. Generally speaking Anti God and Anti Man are safe. Normally only Demons use off realm defense since Gods have Apsara/Sleipnir and Man has Lancelot.

Personally I see the next move for your deck to start getting Hecate or Jabberwocky.

  12. Hey Lucarda, for my HR demon def deck I was thinking including Marsyas to my deck since it's 6max has 17.4k DEF and big boost to god/demon DEF, so was planning to do Wraith, Marsyas, Marsyas, BM, BM, or maybe Wraith, Marsyas then 3 BM. Is this a good set up? Let me know what you think. Thanks for all your help!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it would be good. Since I couldn't look stuff up I missed Marsyas since I tend to overlook defense cards.

I would go with the ABBCC set up.

      Delete
  13. I'm not going to use them in the middle but as wings. If I lead with NM and DK then Tia or moroz and a trow. Or go NM, DK, Hatter, tia, moroz. The trow have really high atk but crap skill for me, so I figure I can replace one with moroz to keep my atk high and maybe get lucky with debuffs.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's actually a pretty good idea. Give up a little bit of stats for a potentially devastating skill. Not very consistent, but should be great in the long run.

      Delete
    2. My issue would be how much are you paying for that ability? Wouldn't it be better saved for Jabberwocky to replace NM?

      Delete
    3. I am trying to save for hekate now, or dark dragoon. I was just curious if buying a ded moroz was a good move because I probably won't be able to get hekate before next HW. But jabberwocky is looking like a better option and I can afford a FF of that now. Do you recommend going 6-10 for SR or is a 4-7 pretty good because I have around 800 hp and I can make a 6-10 jabberwocky.

      Delete
    4. Jabber is the better choice over ded moroz.

I really wish I could still advocate 6maxs...I really wish I could. Unfortunately 4max has replaced it if you plan on getting rid of the card down the road. Takes forever to sell a 6max.

      Delete
    5. Ok I'm still saving for Hekate, but if I can't afford it before HW I can buy a FF jabber or make a 4-7. Thanks again for all the advice.

    1. The cards to replace would be wings. I guess I would go for Master Alchemist. If I recall it's over 20k attack and a debuff to god. Improve your base stats since your 4/5 probably aren't going off often as is.

  17. Hey Lucarda, great site. Very usefull. I have a question. I'm running a deck with Ifrit, Ifrit, Crystalia Liky, Principality, Elder Humonculos. I'm wondering what to do with my Ifrits. They're both skill lvl 10. Should I replace one with a Pan, or both with Trow Elf / Pan. Or do nothing at all (besides getting better cards).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pan gives you some nice options along with CL. Your wings are weak for some of the options out there. I would probably swap out one Ifrit for Pan. Then try to swap out the Elder for a Sword Valk or another CL.

  18. I've just noticed that Holiday Dancer is pretty strong, ranking just below Master Archer and Holy Dragoon due to slightly lower attack, though they have the same % skill effect. Too bad they're bloody expensive right now because they're so hard to obtain.

  19. Hey Lucarda, I am trying to be proactive and think ahead to the next Holy War. I have a 4-6 Princi skill 7 that I used to lead my HW deck last time around... I placed about 4K I think.

I thought at the time Chiron was way too high a price to justify the switch... but knew I'd upgrade between HW's as his price came down.

    So my two questions are:

    1. Will Chiron's ff ability be bumped down to match Princi's "Big Boost" so Mobage can release a NEW HR HW card next time around? I thought I heard that from someone ... but as it stands he still has his "Great Boost".

    2. How low do you think Chiron will dip (he's around 110-120 for a decent FF right now) and when, given you experience, are HW cards cheapest?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. HW cards are generally cheapest right after a HW.

Dunno when it will dip. A lot of people didn't buy him last time because of the short notice so there are still buyers out there.

I doubt his buff would be reduced. That would be strange.

      Delete
  20. I have a question about the placement of leader cards. Why do you place a longinus instead of a lancelot as lead? I have 2 lancelots sk10 and A longi sk10 so I was Curious. Same as With m archer And claymore.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lancelot has higher defense, so it makes sense to have more copies of it. I would probably keep one in the first slot and shift Longinus down to second or lower.

As for Archer and Claymore, I think it was just a mistake since the wiki was down and he couldn't compare the stats. They should be switched.

      Delete
    2. Yeah I have two lancelots so I'd think that placing the longinus in third would make more sense. Thanks for the clarification!

      Delete
    3. Let me play 2 scenarios.

      Scenario one: Lancelot Lead.

100% proc, Failed Proc on Longi since it's still just about 50%, now the rest of your lancelots have a reduced chance to proc since a lance has already proc'd.

      Scenario two: Longi Lead.

100% proc, now there are 4 chances of lancelot to proc without any reduction in chance.

That's why Longi goes first. If he goes first you have pretty much 100% chance to get a longi and lance proc. If Lance is first, your chances of getting both procs are reduced.

      Delete
    4. I guess that makes sense. I think I'll run some simulations though, just to be sure...

It seems that in both scenarios, the chance for a 3-proc is terribly low.

      Delete
    5. Yeah, 3 Proc in Man defense is rough since there isn't a third solid defense card.

  21. hey lucarda, i want to ask how to improve my deck.
currently, my deck is valk hild sk9, ifrit sk10, ifrit sk6, sword valk, princi. with a budget of about 100 hp, how do you think i can improve it?

    1. Remove one of the ifrit in favor of a Crystal Lily or another Sword Valk. After that swap out the princi for one of the same.

  22. Im currently going for NM, MH, DK and trow as wings.
Would this be the best deck for a longer period?

    Replies
    1. That's currently what I'm running. It's a strong deck while you work on getting a Jabberwocky for your lead card.

      Delete
    2. With that setup would a Pan be a good replacement/substitute for the NM?

      Delete
    3. Oddly enough, yes. Demon and God are able to hybrid really well in the HR class at the current moment and since DK and MH both buff god/demon and trow buffs gods (although lets be honest, we all hope they don't proc). I would highly recommend it to get over that 90k hump. Personally though I'm just choosing to snag a Jabberwocky as my lead card.

    1. Enhancing cards is extremely cheap and easy. The expensive part is getting 6 cards. I don't know why you wouldn't max them all the way after that outside of cheapness or lazyness.

If you don't have a feeder account though I could see why you are thinking of going 6-6...but just max it.

  28. Well you made me think.... When i started i wanted to save money, so i only ff god angel while farming quest 2-5.

Are you saying i should ff all the cards, Man shaman and demon goblin to feed? Because I was selling them off and only keeping god angel as feeder card...
Would also explain why its hard to enhance xD

    1. I FF all the cards and use them. Selling cards doesn't really earn my enough rupies to warrant anything. If I want to make rupies I just sell rares or angels for rupies on the bazaar.

    2. Farm quest 2-2 instead; it doesn't have power 2 cards.

For rupies, you could try using a single card to attack feeder accounts.
