The Sylvan Labyrinth Updated

Alright, so there have been a lot of changes since the previous raid events and really this warrants a new look.

First, I would like to say that Mobage finally noticed that their rewards had gotten just stupid and they upped the value of them. Woot.

Second, about the decks. The layouts I recommended previously are still more ideal because they will function on the same math, what has changed is the way attack power works in this event and its relation to AP as well as the way boss rewards are distributed.

AP:  One AP is equal to 100 ATK PWR while Six AP is equal to 400 ATK PWR. This means that players probably won't be able to attack every boss once regularly since they will have to be using a minimum of 100AP each time. This change is...understandable, but unfortunate. In attempting to minimize players abilities to one hit farm bosses, they pretty much made it impossible for low/mid levels to accomplish anything.

Regardless, it should be obvious that you ideally want to be against bosses with insanely high health so you can dish out Six AP attacks since they have the best value.

BOSS REWARDS: So, no more critical bonuses. Players earn Maze Flowers (the exchangeable items) based on the damage they do to the boss and MVP. Players earn Sylvan Berries (the point reward) for defeating the boss, discovering the boss, and getting the last hit on the boss.

What this means for players is they won't be able to gather exchangeable items unless they can do mammoth damage to the bosses. Essentially, if you don't have raider cards, don't expect to be able to gain HP through Maze Flower turn ins.

OVERALL: I'm still broke from HW so I won't be participating much in this event. This event is purely tailored toward benefiting high level players who are willing to spend heavy amounts of HP. Between the AP set up preventing players from hitting bosses once and the necessity to do huge damage to a boss in order to gain Maze Flowers...this event is made to make you spend.

On a bright side, awful lot of nice cards in those maze flower packs, I imagine we will see those cards drop nicely in price near the last few days of the event.

  1. U can still attack the boss even if ur att is below 100. U just wont get the bonus 1.1 x dmg I think. Its little confusing to me, because if u use 1AP it takes away 100 att power. But if u have 300 att u can still use all 6 AP and u will end up with 0 att. Why would they give u an option to spent a HP to replenish your att when u can just use that one HP to to 6AP attack?

    1. Also could u explain to me the gauge system? I dont understan why its there or waht it does at all. Thx

    2. I'm still figuring out the best way to do it myself atm. I'm busy on the homestretch in Marvels Raider event atm, so I'm not doing a lot of Rages.

    3. Everyone gets 6 AP, which is 6 attacks on a boss - regardless of your attack power. AP can only be regenerated by time or Sylvan Potions (can be gotten through the exchange). If you use a 1 AP attack and you happen to have 100 ATK points, you'll get the damage bonus. If not, you can still attack; you just don't get a damage bonus.

  2. I'm actually quite enjoying this event and I haven't even really dented my personal HP because of all the personal HP rewards from this event so far, the fact that kaguya and heckate and yuel are in card packs gives me something to look forward too, also they are pretty generous with the sylvian ap potions as I tend to get them more than feeder cards, which lets me kill more monsters. I'm also glad that there are only two types of flowers now so I don't feel like my rewards go to waste now. Overall this event is a big improvement from past raid bosses and I can't complain.

    1. I'm betting, halfway through the event they'll introduce the Big Boss and a third type of flowers.

    2. I would agree. I don't think I'm ready for how insane these big bosses will probably be. Especially without combo bonuses to help.

  3. I wouldn't say I'm really enjoying the event. I don't like that I don't have the option on whether or not to use the 100 attack power. It usually seems like when I don't need the boost I have to take it and when I want to have it I no longer have enough attack power. I also haven't figured out this break(er) bar yet either. I only have one raider card and in very inconsistently activates. In the last raid event it would almost always activate. Also, it seems that combos are gone? Now to my ?'s

1)Would it be worth it to put maxed/unmaxed (but not evolved) raider cards in your decks for this event? Is the hit to your attack worth the possible skill proc?
2)This gates of hell thing is kind of pissing me off. Normal monsters still show up when the gates of hell are open and it seems a lot more difficult than in previous events to get a monster to appear. Before it seemed like there were too many monsters showing up, now too few. Also, I have only gotten Helveras to appear, not a single Jabberwocky. Am I just unlucky? What are other people's thoughts?

unrelated to event, but please answer
    3) I just bought 5 lances for good prices, though it seems I could have done even better if I waited and was more patient, but since I'm not a psychic and didn't want to chance paying higher prices, I went for it. Now my question is this. Given that lance is now a 5 tier card and the drop in the price of the card makes me wonder if I should put more than 5 cards into the ff. I did perfect evos on rares and mostly perfect on high rares and this will be my first ssr, but I thought I would have to change to 4-6 evos due to the price part. What are people's thoughts? Should I stick with the 5-8? Should I throw an extra card or two in there? How much def will I gain? 1k? 2k? Not even that much? (Evo a 4-6 with a maxed base or maxed base+) Or should I just save for a man ssr attack card next or for raising the skill level?

    1. Look at this chart to see the stats of different enhance types. http://wiki.rageofbahamut.com/Lancelot

IMO by the looks of the chart i don't think its worth the extra 500 by adding w more cards but there's the chart for you to decide.

    2. Thanks, I thought it would be more than that... I don't think it is worth it either. I didn't know either that a 5-8 Lance would be roughly 500 less in defense than a 4-6 King Arthur. KA is 3 times as expensive as a Lance so I couldn't have afforded to buy 4 bases (I could possibly have got 2...) so I'm not too upset, though I see what people/Lucarda are talking about now with it basically being a legend card without the Legend buff.

I guess I'll go for a KA for my next defense card! (If I ever can afford to buy 4 of them!)

  4. Also, it is bs that you level up and you regain your attack power, but not your ap! Leveling up is supposed to replenish everything right? So if they add a new construct to the game, leveling up should replenish that too right??

So, I just ran an experiment. I opened the gates of hell, and proceeded to burn through personal cws just to see what I could summon in 15 minutes with unlimited stamina. I used 4 after I finished the stamina I had (270 stam on my account) and summoned 1 helvera and 5 ghouls. Once I got to 5 (1 helvera, 4 ghouls), I beat one ghoul so I would have a slot open to summon another one and all I got was another ghoul and my time was basically up. That is bs.

Also, I don't like how if you choose to use holy powder to replenish your ap, the option selected first is the regular holy powder, not the personal one. I just checked, and even though I made the change to use a personal one, it doesn't remember that choice. It just goes back to automatically selecting the regular holy powder.

If you do the 6 ap attack, that will use personal first.

    1. I've never seen anyone encounter two boss monsters at once, so you probably have to take them down before having a chance to face another one.

    2. I've faces two monsters that I had discovered at once. You don't need to beat one before you encounter a second.

    3. Boss monsters as in Helveras and Jabberwockys.

    4. You dont need to beat one b/f you encounter the other but it has been my experience that it seems to help with the quality of the pulls. Again, just my experience.

    5. From my experience (and our orders's), helveras show up one at a time. Basically, when you open your Hell's Gate, you should take down the helvera before proceeding through the question. I've found that once the helvera is up and I continue, I can get all zombies. However, when the helvera is taken down, the next one comes up.

Jabberwockees are a different story, and it appears that these show up when you have a helvera up. Our order hasn't been able to proc a jabberwockee without a helvera at the same time. Our tests appear to prove our theory.

However, I'm not too sure how to proc Death Lvl:150. Any ideas on that would be helpful.

    6. It's stated in the in-game rules, that a second rare monster will not appear until you defeat the first one or it flees.

  5. I've also had trouble getting monsters to pop up. Sat on almost full AP all day yesterday because I never had anything to attack. And I have over 200 stamina for quests...

    1. Bad luck. You can summon multiples, but the appearance rate seems lower than previous events.

  6. im also having problem getting monsters to battle ive only open hell gates 4 times! yellow monster never appears for me! and boss monster are even rarer! today i burn thru 5 pcw with gates open and not single boss appeared to fight im in turn 80 and i have 217 stam.. only had zombie and gouls pop up. this raid event is horrible stupid ap atk come on its bs. im not even getting help request from others think ive had max of 5 battles someone requested help. there is no way im gonna be able have a decent rank in this event if this keeps up.and i can keep rambling on with other problems with this event but some of you have already pointed them out. so im ending this saying i will not spend another cw on this event let alone spend a single hp its not worth it to me

  7. This is why I hate this event. It's all luck based. You need to get lucky to open the gates. You need to get lucky to get monsters to show up in that tiny window once the gates are open. And you need to get Insanely lucky to get any decent rewards from the flowers.

Yeah. Just another event that will end up as a net loss for me.

  8. I'm enjoying this event, but probably just because I'm lucky. I've used 10 hp other than personal hp from event. I've used 20 cure water, but only when the gates of hell were open. I have 355 stamina, and 360 atk. I'm using a lunar wolf that I built with feeders from the beginning of the event. My 2 other raid cards are a ff skeleton and a base skeleton that I received via maze flower exchanges. This event is based on probability not luck.
I only spent php yesterday along with pcw and 10 cw, but managed to finish in top 300 battle ranking. I also pulled in over 100,000 sylvan berries which has moved me into the top 1500 in the event. This is where the luck comes in. I've pulled 1 kaygua, 2 hekate, 3 devil queen, about a dozen hrs. All in all I'm going to enjoy coming out ahead in this event spending little to nothing to do so.

    1. Lol then u are really lucky. I the best thing i pulled from mazes were 1 skeleton and 1000 berries. Rest was just crap... And when i do open the gates im lucky to get a rare boss. Usually i get 3-4 ghouls so its even a pain to open that gate.. I was ranking like 6k but with no luck dropped to 16k...

    2. Insane. I've spent about the same amount and gotten 2HRs and nothing better. I have less than 30,000 berries and I'm unlikely to even get a card reward.

      It's based on luck.

  9. I hope bigger monsters start showing up later in this event. So far i havnt used any hp and only a few potions because I have nothing to attack. I thought i would do well because I have 3 raid cards and ranked 4500 in the last raid event. Im ranked about 19000 and am out of cw. I used cw several times and had no monsters show up when gates of hell were open.

  10. This has nothing to do with this event but I'm curious to the answer yall may have. I've noticed theres a bunch of low lvl players lvl 20 to 30. That rank in the top 200 in battle rankings. Do any of yall kno how this is possible. I don't think there cheating as in hacking but they have to be doing something shady.

    1. They use low power strong cards on their defense and maintain a low amount of defense points. They then gather treasure or have it sent to them so when players choose to battle for treasure, they often come up.

This causes them to win a huge number of battles since they are attacked constantly and have an above average defense.

Only works until level 40 or so I believe.

      Delete
    2. But thez maintaned low amount of defense points that would mean that any stronger deck would defeat them and if not every attack on them would decrease their def points by 10, so if many attack went on them they would have low def wont they?

    3. I made a lvl 19 silver knight with 11 atk and 10 def: i fully enhanced and evolved five goblins (each uses 2 atk pwr) so my 10 atk pwr attack was 13k+. I could beat most players under lvl 40 and even got a fair amount of def wins because ppl didn't count on my defence. I could fire up a full atk every 10 minutes, each atk gave me 50-130 honor points due to low lvl bonus (below lvl 20), so I could make approx 500 honor pts per hour. 10 hours brings you close to the title brackets and I got mad dog and silver guard title - and only needed one more win to become Cruel Oath, but boy, it's hard to have a life attacking every 10 minutes for 14 hours a day, and I got bored of it :) a

    4. I meant a lvl 19 Silver Guard in the first sentence of the above post

  11. So far i have been fairly lucky. Im currently ranked 385 and have achieved with a moderate expensing of hp and cw. The berries help when needing to refill AP by just a couple to take down a low level ghoul or evil flower. I dont know if it is factually based, but i find that it helps when the gates are open to take down the monsters as you go instead of hording. I have been able to get all of the first time bonuses and have found greater success pulling jabbers when i have an empty cue versus one with 2 or 3 other monsters. Again, this has just been my experience.

I read a few people asking about the break gauge. This gauge fills up (generally about 5 attacks to fill) and then you get a fairly decent bump to your damage (2x seems to be my average on the first fill). I have not gotten to use the break gauge effectively for the 2nd fill and up b/c, even with the lvl 100 jabbers, i took him down b/f i could get a full read on damage.

Has anyone pulled the monster that you need to beat in order to get the lvl bonus? I am assuming that no one has as it has not been released yet.

So far, i have found this event to at least feel like something new, even if most the concepts have been done before. I would say that i am not entirely fond of the gate deal only being open 15 minutes but i have been pretty lucky as compared to just about everyone else in my order as i am more than 250K ahead of everyone. I am not quite certain, without spending insane amounts of hp and cw, how you get this event in the millions as i have been fairly lucky and have only pulled 350K so far with a decent amount spent on hp and cw.

Well, good luck to all and may the 2nd half of this event treat you better than the first :)

  12. i have a account ranked 1000 and under at al times, the triock is that you know hoiw you try to battle people wich give you 200 ponits, well for 5 rares as defense, you gey about 150 points, my account has the best high demon deck, working on mad hatter, chimeara, and then cruel princess. also have 1 wall breaker deck and one hw deck. its just weird. unfortunatly, that account only has 50 stamina and about 80 defense and 100attack
