How to Gain HP/CW

With the advent of the bazaar old methods of selling feeder service and buying in bulk and selling individually are pretty much gone. A lot of people are wondering how do I get HP in Rage of Bahamut.

For new and veteran players it can be very confusing and difficult to gain HP/CW in the current environment. I have found two fairly decent ways to gain HP in the current market. Of course players can still sell feeders on their friends list or to order members as long as there is still high demand for these cards and is probably the bet method for newer players with very little HP.

The two ways I found that seem to be fairly effective are as follows.

Enhancing: This method is to look for popular cards such as nightmare or claymore maid and check the pricing. Normally you will find a lot of them are either not enhanced or only partially enhanced. With the difficulty of buying feeders a lot of people are less likely to buy unenhanced versions of cards. Because of this if you buy a popular card on the bazaar for a couple under the average price because it's unenhanced you can normally enhance it yourself and sell it for a 5-10HP in profit depending on the price you got and the demand.

Enhanced Enhancing: This is still part of the first way but a more enhanced version. This involved buying four of a popular card for cheap and creating a 4max version of the card. You can normally sell this card for 30-50HP profit if you check for good prices. This method requires you to put a few days effort into it but the payoff is normally worth it.

Trading Up: This method is time consuming but results in big payouts if done properly. The key with this method is to list cards primarily for trades instead of HP until you move up enough to make a large profit. Lets say you have Elaine who has a rough value of 15HP. If you set up Elaine for an Inugami there is a fair chance a god realm player with an Inugami would see that as a fair trade. Of course Inugami has a resale value of about 30HP. You get the Inugami and list it for a Nightmare, there is a fair chance a player would make that swap. That's another 20HP gain. Finally you list Nightmare for Claymore which appears like a legitimate trade because they are each the best lead cards for their realms. This results in another 10HP profit. The final thing to do is to either sell the Claymore (or Apsara, or Nightmare, whatever you're comfortable with) for HP, or you can try your luck putting up a Claymore for a Gilgamesh (I know somebody who did this and got it). Trading up transaction the cost was about 6-8 Tickets and 2-3 days for about 50+HP in profit.

Trading Down: This is another fun method and is wonderful if you have less valuable SR/SSR. This method includes getting something like a Temptress Vampire. She has an approximate worth of about 60HP. Put her up for a price of Two Claymore Maids resulting in a gain of 60HP if you get an interested buyer. This way requires more tickets normally because you'll be listing SR/SSR cards using five tickets to sell and then more tickets to sell or trade what you get.

Hopefully for those not already using these methods this will help you gain HP and make the most out of what I still consider a god awful system.

  1. How do u think this new how will go. I forgone wontb able to replenish my hp in time and I'm really the only active member in it.

    1. I think a lot of players had enough time to figure out ways to gather HP and should play out similar to last time. Also, over time more players get endgame decks allowing them to stockpile HP.

Although I'm hoping the HP usage won't be as high, I'm pretty sure it will be.

  3. Hey there, I have a question on the skill mechanism.
1st, let say if I use Ark Dragon attacking against Aspara. My ark's skill goes off first before the aspara's skill goes off? Or it's the other way around. Because it is kinda wasted if it's the former instead of latter.
2nd, lets say I use a vampire lord defending against claymore. Again the similar question, the vampire lord's skill goes off first before clay's skill goes off or the other way round?

  4. Attack always goes off first.

    Defense always goes second.

    2. And I have to say, you are right when you said the reward for this event is not worth it. I spend a net of about 20hp. The reward I got is that 2 man hr. Selling those at current price yields me about 20hp. No profit at all.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, and people who spent 5HP more than you probably didn't hit the next tier so they each lose 5HP.

I do the math on a lot of events and there are conditions which must be met in order to do well. For example, to be cost effective on next stamina event you would have to purchase CW at a 3:1 ratio during holy wars and sit on it for months.

Holy Wars I feel are the best bang for my buck.

    4. Plus, multiplication is commutative. If you have a hit of 15% and they have a buff of 15%, that's the same as them buffing 15% and you hitting for 15%.

  5. It doesnt matter which skill goes off first, because every calculation is based on the base stats like this:

    atk * leader * order * (1 + moral + realm + skill boost - skill hit)

  6. Hey Lucarda do you have any tips on getting rupies? Evolving normals from 2-2 has forced me to sell a few rares for 150k-ish but im running low on those cards. Alot of great info in your guide btw.

    1. A lot of the same rules for gaining HP apply to rupies. The most effective way I used to find was to sell HP for rupies but that's not really an option at the bazaar.

Currently the only really effective way is to sell feeder service to order members or fellows for rupies instead of HP. The last option is you can list HR for Rupies I believe, so that's an option over rares.

    1. You poor bastard. If your base is that high and you have roughly 50-100hp to spend during holy war I would recommend making a gamefaqs post with your att/def the HP you intend to spend, and the rank requirement of the order you would join. I.e. LF top 200 (with those stats and 50-100hp should be able to easily get into a top 200 and if lucky get a top 100).

  10. Dunno man I love your guides and input on things, but this trading I'm not sure. Me myself just made som HP from buying cheap and selling higher than i bought it for. But in your example trading inugami for nightmare? who would do that I see Inugami out for 16-20HP why do I just not sell my nightmare for like 45HP and just buy two Inugami instead of just trading ti the way you described?

    1. You don't I hope.

Here's the thing, players who didn't read forums still don't read forums. The reason card prices dropped is this huge market of players who have no idea what they are doing flooded the market. Those same players only see HR for HR. A lot of them see ATK/DEF as a better option than a card that is pure ATK.

My favorite example is a friend who turned each of his berserkers into Yukis on his alt account.

  11. Hi Lucarda,
First of all thanks for your great blog, all the information was so helpful.
Second, I finally have a nightmare which I would like to trade for Aspara, but since this card is not in my archive how can I add it to the trade?
I am already looking at HR god cards but that will take me hours if not days to find someone who wants to trade Aspara for Nightmare.
    Thanks.

    1. Hi, you need the to do the following:
      - Look for an Apsara in the Bazaar based on God/HR/pwr25.
      - Probably you need to go to next screen (by clicking on "next" a few times).
      - Now select any Apsara (for trade safety, look for one you can't buy yet as you probably don't want to spent 70hp for 1)
      - So click on the "cannot buy" and in the next screen you can select "add to wishlist".
      - Now search in the Bazaar by the option "Search from Wishlist".

      Hope this helps :)

  12. Hi,
Thanks for your reply! Never saw this option... I feel so stupid.
Even better, I can trade Nightmare for a card from my wishlist so don't need to search :-).

    1. So true!!!

And I got my Apsara and it was already maxed for my convenience :).
Other question what would you do with your gems, I can buy 2 Minerva's or go for the HR and up card pack?
Furthermore I was wondering if a card like Elder or High Homunculus is only for one event or can it be used in future events as well. The event was Revenge of the Puppet Master so you could assume there will be more Puppet Masters in the future. Or is it just a way for Mobage/Cygames to sell more Mobacoins.
      Thanks in advance.

    2. Can be used in future events for a medium boost is my understanding on elder.

Personally I lean toward HR packets over minerva but they can be about equal. Minerva is always minerva but a HR packet could be anything!

    3. I agree, I like the surprise with the HR CP. I got a Thor once, so that settled my preference :)

  14. Hi, I'm hoping you can help me. I'm looking at handing over some feeders for a rare card. But I'm unsure what a fair exchange rate would be. Also, when I'm deciding on an exchange rate how does evolution and skills play into it? For example, would an un-evo HN with skill be worth more than an evo HN with no skill? And would an evo HN with skill be worth more than an un-evo R with no skill? (All cards are meant to be feeders, so they're all evo 4-0.)

I do plan on evo-ing everything when I can, but sometimes you just end up with a bunch of randome HN.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

    1. Skilled HN are normally 1HP per set of 9.

Evo HN from 2-2 (evolved goblins and the likes) Are normally 20-30k rupies for 9.

Unskilled HN in my book are worth less than evo'd HN from 2-2 and I normally don't buy them. Many people though will still pay the same 20-30k rupies for 9 of them.

  15. ~laugh~ I was honestly so confused when you put 2-2 down. I was sitting there all, "Enhance two and then evolve them? How is that best?" XD Figured it out eventually!

Just one clarification, if you don't mind. Which is worth more, specifically feeder-wise: a fully evo HN with skill or a not evo rare card with skill?

Thanks again for all your help. It's so hard to tell prices of this specific sort with the bazaar. It feels like everytime you look for a card (rare or lower) the price is always 1hp no matter what. >.<

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not evo rare with skill. In most cases there is no reason to evolve a HN to Rare unless you're personally using it to skill-up an SSR.

Rares generally are minimum of 1-3HP.

    2. Thank you for the help. ^_^ I'm largely evolving everything to 1) save on space and 2) so I can trade more cards at a time.

Thanks for your help again. I'm off to the bazaar (I agree with you: ugh) to try and figure out prices for some things.

  16. Hey love the blog but can't find a straight answer on the question of feeding. Is it more ecfective money/xp wise to evolve feeder cards to max first, or just feed 10 skeles/angels/knights straight into the card youre trying to level. The math I've done myself on it seems to say just feed them straight in...but that seems odd. Any wisdom/math?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. More cost effective to evolve into their HN forms before using them as feeders. The rupie cost ends up way higher since its based on the number of cards used in the evolution.

I generally don't because I start to calculate time into and rupies are rarely an issue for me and my time is more valuable.

  17. Quick question about wall breaker cards. It says big boost to wall dmg, but how exactly do those cards work and what is the % increase? Oh and if you use more than one and they go off will they stack?

    1. If you want to be a wallbreaker use 3 fully evo'd wallbreakers. They do stack. The % increase is mammoth against walls.

  18. How effective is the 'Enhancing' method for making HP? Is this still a viable method for making HP? I was going to try and do it with a Paladin I have. Would that be good?

    1. Hey Lucarda, big fan of yours, love ur blog.
Hi unknown. The method is effective. As long as u choose a popular high turn-over card. Also check the current market price cos they fluctuate. Personally I would make sure I can max it in a day or 2 if possible and resell it ASAP. That way I have better grasp of current resell value.
Correct me if I'm wrong :)

      Delete
    2. Ehln is right. Make sure it's a popular card otherwise you could sit on it for weeks. It is still very effective as long as you check to see how many maxxed cards are up, what their prices are, then compare to unmaxxed. Normally one of the big three always makes a profit: Claymore, NM, Apsara.

  21. Lately in the Bazaar I've seen people selling level maxed versions of cards for the same card plus a few extra HP. I might have missed it in your above post, but do you think this is a viable way to make HP? I've just gotten fairly lucky with a couple of legend packs (Longinus and Dragonnewt) and sold them for about 170 HP. I've spent about half and am now looking for a way to get back some of it and was wondering if that route is a good one or if it's better to do a buy low, sell high approach.

    1. just passing by. shud wait for Lucarda's opinion but rite now i prefer the trading method. it really depends if you are lucky, though. even the maxing method requires you to be lucky. but rite now, i'm hcing the trade up so i can save my feeders for one of my order high lv member. he pays me 3 hp for set of 9hns feeder friendly price,so consider u hv another way of earning

    2. I believe I mentioned this somewhere else as a viable method with one major downside.

Doing this requires the use of 4 tickets for 4HP profit making it one of the slower methods. Also there is heavy competition in the market for it.

The best way atm for players without a lot of HP is to find person buying feeder service.

    4. Hey, sorry to bother you guys again, but I just got a Haniel. I am in Gods realm and I really, really like her ability and stats, but I was wondering if either of you thought it might be possible to sell her now and pick her up again for half price down the road. I was also considering trying to sell my Micheal for one if possible. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

      Delete
    5. I'd sell her now. But that's just me. She should drop in price significantly by the end of the week if she follows all similar cards. If your deck is already all SR/SSR and you have a stock of HP I'd be more inclined to say keep her. But in pretty much any situation I would sell her and attempt to buy her later.

She is the equivalent of Batraz for gods making her very powerful even unevolved for the buff.

      Delete
    6. how low do you think the price of Haniel will drop to?

  22. well i dun care abt realms but sgield angel is priced abt 15hp not emhanced and ares is abt 12. the others are abt 3~4

    ReplyDelete
  23. another way to gain hp is to buy an un-enhanced card and enhance it and sell it for that same card and 5-10 hp and do it again. it seems to work pretty well because people are too lazy to enhance their own cards and you become their enhancement service.

    1. Tough to say. It's a really good card and Gods have been waiting for a card like this. The hype might cause it to maintain price for some time.

Reasonably though I think it will eventually drop to be a little bit more than batraz since that's where its power level is at. Those ta-tas though.
