Market Fluctuations

So with the entry of the Bazaar you can expect quite a few market fluctuations based on supply and demand.

A lot of cards are dropping in price, first very rapidly, then a little more slowly until they level out. An example of this was Dark Dragoon. Dark Dragoon initially released with a price of roughly 900HP on the market because it is an SSR Demon realm that proves a Massive buff to Demon Att/Def. I don't yet know the final stat of the card but I anticipate somewhere around 21k/20k.

This makes it the most effective SSR Demon realm card for dual purpose. The cards current selling value? 390-400HP pretty steady.

So, these prices are exiting right? Well don't get too exited yet. You should always remember that a huge number of players were never able to trade away their rewards from two straight Holy Wars and now are only able to liquidate a couple cards a day. This means that the market is pretty glutted with cards and none of those players were able to make a lot of HP over the last few weeks.

My point of this post is to remind you that:

1) As the price of cards drops the price of HP increases by correlation and the Bazaar took away many players ability to generate HP.

2) The next event requires HP in pretty decent quantities.

3) If it's hard for a lot of these players to liquidate their HR cards, it's also going to be harder for you to generate HP from your cards.

So watch your HP spending, buy what you need and make sure you have a decent HP stock if you want to do well during the next HW. Sell what you have and don't need before you go all buy happy.

  1. Hi your guide has been a great help to me in the past few months. Hope I'm not being rude. This question isn't really relevant to your post, but I'm making a guide for Guardian Cross on blogspot, and I'm wondering what gadget do you use for displaying the list of all of your posts (on the right side, naming "Articles"). Thx so much!

  2. I couldn't find a gadget for that so in the label heading of all my posts I write the article title.

So on the right it's actually the gadget that says Articles. I chose to sort all articles by all labels alphabetically.

  3. ohhhh I see. And after researching for the past half hour, I found an HTML script gadget of listing all articles by posting date. That made my life much easier ^_^ thx anyway. Loved your posts!

  4. So in short, I started posting guides to Guardian Cross today (starting from intro topics and will go deeper in the next weeks). If you (or your readers) ever play GC, please check it out. I really hope it will help some people out.

    The link is: http://guardiancrossguide.blogspot.com/

P.s. I wish the droid version will come out soon, so you can play too ^_^

  5. Hi Lucarda, thanks so much for this blog/guide, it really gave me a lot of interesting info about the game that I didn't know, which made me wish I found it sooner so I could avoid many mistakes I made before, but oh well, thanks :)

Anyway, my question is, how much CW and HP do you consider a decent stack for this upcoming event? I'm still fairly new to this game and I'm still working on my rares/high rares deck and I'm afraid I'll end up spending a lot of HP buying cards before the event.

Oh and BTW, Legend of the Cryptids is out now on Android 4.0, just downloaded it yesterday. It's ok so far but still not as fun as RoB.

    1. Depends. What I like to do is spend about 10-20 the first day and see where my day 1 rank ends up. I then look at some of the top spenders and determine where certain rank thresholds are and what I'll need to spend to keep up.

If the cost is too high I'll either slow or stop my participation. Since this event also involves my orders rank I will probably spend more but I'll guess my spending will end up at about 100HP.

  6. If u r looking to b a top ranker u will be spending in the hundreds of hp. It's not fair but that's the way this game goes, average gamers like like me will prob spend 50 hp to b in the top 5k that's if the event starts anytime soon.

    1. Yep, that's why I say to gauge your rewards. For example in tears I spend 10CW because the rewards were so bad.

This event I will participate in regardless because my order will count on me to.

  8. It's weird but I have traded more and for better prices since the new system has come into place I now have a 6-7 pally and spirit for a quarter of the price I would of payed.

    1. When you resell your cards you'll also get a 1/4 of the price you would have.

Essentially what happened was that a bunch of players owned propery (cards) or money (hp).

The problem that's going to emerge in the long run is it is notably more difficult to make HP without spending real world money. After a couple HP events we will probably see some other interesting stuff occur.

  9. True but I'm one of the lucky ones that is still able to sell my hn and n for hp and I have off loaded most of my rares and still have more hp then what I started with.

  10. Hey Lucarda, great blog, you have been very helpful to someone new to the game. Right now I am a level 54 and I am trying to find a fast way to level up my Rare and High Rares. Right now I am going back to quest level 2-2, picked up a bunch of cards, evolving them (all at level 1) to a high normal and using those as feeder/enhancing cards for my Rares and High Rares. I understand that any leveling system is going to be time consuming but I wanted to make sure I am doing it correctly.

    THANKS!

  11. Sounds right. That's how you do it the best for the cheapest.

  12. Ok, I know based on the evolution post you put up it explains how to evolve cards but I havent been able to find a chart that shows the enhancing power of a 6-2 card vs a 4-0 card.

    1. A 6-2 has 97.8% of its potential power.

A 4-0 has 86.6% of its potential power.

  13. Had a much longer post done, but when I signed in, I lost it:/

First off, I very much enjoy your blog! You not only give us lots of information and advice, you also write some entertaining and thought-provoking stuff.

What I was going to comment about was how if you have any thoughts on how much cards will go back up in value as the market stabilizes? I had opened an LCP during the trade ban, desperate for new cards (yet not so much as to use real money... that came later... *sigh*), and gotten a Batraz. And I suppose I have used up my luck of any LCPs holding anything cool from this point onwards.

But anyway, I was ecstatic that this card was worth 800HP, and maybe more, at least based off the forums. Once trades returned, no one in my order/fellows could afford it, so I tried my luck in the bazaar. It didn't sell the first day, and has now dropped in value to about 600 for the lowest I've seen.

I'm thinking I'll just have to max and keep it, though it is a great card for someone who's barely working on their 4-6 rare atk/def decks. As I only have 2-3 HP saved up in my presents, I am sorely tempted to sell for cheap, but because I held so long to the idea that it was worth so much, I can't bear to do it.

So I guess what I'm actually asking is if you suggest I just take the "loss" (which technically wouldn't be anything, as I got the card for "free") and try to sell it, or hold on and see what happens some time down the road. Your advice would be very much appreciated :]

    1. Here's the thing about loss. What if it drops to 400HP? You'll be up 200. (Btw, it won't drop to 400hp).

Personally I always thought 800 was really high for Bat.

Given your present reserves it would be more lucrative for you to create a stockpile of HP and gain a better deck.

Starting from 2-3HP how long would it take you to hit 100HP and a deck of 80k+ attack? How many holy wars, because no top 200 order will take you. How much more HP would you make by being in a better order?

Sometimes its worth losing a bit now to gain a bit in the long run. Also, the more I think about HP/card values the more I think HP will continue to grow in value and cards will continue to decrease.

  14. In what event might cause bazaar rates to rise?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Checking in a few months later? Batraz is 460 HP

and you can pick up claymore maids for 20. I remember selling the one I pulled from my first lcp for 60 when the bazaar first opened.

It's even tough to sell rares for 1ea.
