5th Card Evolutions

Bahamut, Odin, Jeanne D'Arc, Lancelot, Ancient Elf, and Tiamat.

Literally one day after I post in comments that people have been talking about this forever and they still haven't brought it over...they bring it over.

Fortunately at this moment the cards that can evolve into five seem to be restricted to SR and up. Now, the question I pose is, is it worth it? As far as I can tell, kind of. Although the stats only increase by 1500 or so, you have to consider a player doing this probably already has the 4max version of the card. For the price of one more of them they can increase their power.

Its up to each individual player, but given the current selection of cards that can be increased, I would only consider Lancelot.

So how does this effect you?

Chances are it doesn't. The cards chosen at this moment will offer mild increases in very high level decks. Most players have decks primarily composed of HR and many of those same players have opted to skip SR and move into SSR.

What these changes have done for players who are moving up is allow them to invest into an SR and eventually bring it up to just under SSR power levels. In essence these cards are becoming SSR 2.0 not legends. All of the other true legends outclass them.

Are these changes good or bad?

Good. As long as they don't try to apply it to every rarity and keep it for the highest. This fifth evolution offers players something that bridges the long and expensive gap between SR and SSR.

Personally, it's something that I don't intend to engage in because I don't see the point on spending a bunch of HP to create a Legend card that doesn't have a Legend buff. If they increased the buff power on the fifth card, I think it would be worth it.

So, recap. You get about 1500 additional stat points from what I've seen and no increase in buff power. Is it worth it? In my opinion not really.

  1. Imagine those who have skill 10 lancelots. I believe they are in dilemma on what to do. Evo them and start leveling again is definitely a pain, considering the difficulty in getting skilled feeders.

  2. Hypothetically speaking, if my deck was
    1. Nightmare
    2. Mad Hatter
    3. Demonic Knight
    4. Jorm
    5. Trow
(assuming all skill 10 but trow)
and I complete a Jabber, do I replace the NM or the Trow?
Just want to hear some opinions, since that's nowhere close to the situation I'm in yet.

    1. You'd replace the NM first imho with something like a jabberwocky.

  3. Im just waiting for them to release Yukimura's 5th evolution. And yes, its pretty pricy and there isnt much gain, but it gives you a shiny new card. (Except lancelot, theres just too much detail in his 5th evo art...)

  4. I realized how foolish I was not to quickly sell my tiamat this morning while it was going for 400 hp+. Needless to say, I still sold her for a 130 HP profit and her price is still dropping back to a reasonable range. Could've done better, but hindsight is 20/20 I suppose!!

  5. So if my deck now is
    6-7 Trow
    6-7 Pan
    6-7 SV
    4-3 Crystalia
    6-7 Chiron.
Assuming that skills are low lv do i set out to find skilled feeders or i do it slowly by myself and use my hp for sth else like a thor? Coz if thor i gonna hv 5th evo then i might not be able to afford it after the release and it is a great card. I wud hv to say that my deck is some of the best in hr range already and i will hv to move to sr soon.
Once again thx for ur help lucarda u helped me build my deck from scratch.

    1. Increasing your skills to 10 will have a far more significant boost in power than getting a Thor. But I prefer to do it slowly.

I don't see an issue getting a Thor if you like the card.

  6. i have a feeling that the only reason why you see about a 1500 point difference is that they just add a maxed card to their ff. i do think however that if you took 2 final forms their would be a significant increase as well as if you stacked your deck with a certain card it doesnt make all of them totally useless.just something to think about.

    1. I couldn't justify spending the HP for two FF SR cards in order to get maybe a 3000pt increase and still have a lower level buff.

The buff needs to be improved for me to see it as worthwhile.

    2. The people who already have low skill 4-7's on hand are in luck though...

    3. In more luck than the poor bastards that leveled the skills.

Personally, I'm going to find it annoying if they do five card evo's for all cards. Way too much work updating shit.

    4. I agree that its not worth the time. But if you think about it, improving the skill would mean that we'd have lancelots with the boosts and def of King arthur. And tempress vamps rivaling queen vamps, as well as yukimuras rivaling masamunes. Personally, i think that DeNa implemented 5th evos mainly for the new looks and art. Dont worry about too many 5th evos though, only the current ones + FP, longs, temptess vamps and yukimuras exist in the JP

    5. I sure hope they don't expand this to other rarities. The cards affected by this update have pretty much doubled in prices overnight. With the prices of all other cards rapidly declining over the last couple of months, the largest gap is now between HR and SR.

  7. Has anyone else noticed that other cards in the wiki page (SR & HR) are now listing 5th evo stats? I just saw it today. It did mention that those stats are unconfirmed though.

    1. Oh, the wiki page is up? It's been down like all week for me :)

    2. Yeah it was down for some time, then when it came back up I see that all cards have the 5th evo stats. So far we have seen in the Japanese ROB that only selected SR/SSR cards have 5th evo stats. I'm beginning to wonder if they will implement the 5th evo across all card rarities?

  8. need suggestions since TV is currently like 30+hp should i get more of them and wait till the 5th form is out to resell them or it's just not worth doing it? and just wondering for demon def deck i'm using BM BM TV Death Death is this good enough or should i like exchange them all to Lancelots

    1. I'd go either Apsara or Lance. If you want to remain with demon, get rid of that TV and get a buff you can use like Wraith. Although your base will drop a SK10 Wraith will end up having a greater effect overall.

    2. thanks for the input but my BM is SK10 won't having a bigger base will be better? think u can give me a rough equation on how replacing a SK10 wraith over TV will make it bigger?

      Delete
    3. Off the top of my head 15k wraith, 18k BM, 18k BM, 20k D, 20k D. = 91k base. Wraith proc at skill 10 is 23%, BM proc would be 18%. Chances are you will get both procs since they are different cards. This would be...20.9k from the wrath's buff, 16.4k from the BM. 128k roughly.

Swapping TV, first things first, chances are you will only get one useful buff. 96k base. 113k roughly with the 17k you get from BM. Your second BM will not be going off 75% of the time.

      That's the rough math.

    4. i see thanks that really helps me out in terms of calculation and btw when do u think u are going to update SR demon decks due to skills now no longer activate that often if they are the same is getting 3 sutekhs a good idea?

  9. Should you build another 4 evo and then evolve it with your already existing 4 evo? Or just the FF + single card.

    1. Using 2x 4-evo cards would be much better. It's kind of like what 6-10 does for cards with 4 forms.
