Quiz Game!

Alright guys and girls. Since trades are still down I feel that I'm going to play a bit of a quiz game with my loyal readers until the trade ban ends!*note if trade ban ends really soon I may continue the game a little longer to give several people a chance*

The purpose of the game will be for you to learn a little bit more about me in a way that's hopefully fun and rewarding. The way the game will work is at random times I will be posting a description of a character. The character will be from a movie, tv show, video game, or book. They will be characters I like or love. Listing the actor won't count, I want the character!

I will list the question in comments, you MUST HIT REPLY TO THE QUESTION and type your answer. If your answers are outside the reply section it will be deleted. This way it's easy to track my questions and your answers in order.

The first person to answer correctly will gain 3pts, the second person will gain 2pts, the third person will gain 1pt. After three people have gotten it correct no more points will be given for that question. Once the trade ban ends I'll list and distribute rewards to the players with the most points.

Some notes: I'll list questions when I list them. There is not going to be an every hour time frame because that takes a lot of work. If I see a comment deleted by the user under one of the questions then a new comment made by the same user I'll assume you changed your answer and you won't get points for that question. Finally, if all of a sudden the trade ban ends in 10 minutes the game will still continue for at least a day. If a question goes long enough with wrong answers or no answers I will give an additional hint.

Good luck and have fun guys, I appreciate your readership. That's why there is no buy in for this just have fun! Hopefully it's not too easy.

Prizes are as follows:

1st: Ifrit
2nd: Master Samurai
3rd: Elaine

I'll also give out participation rewards as I see fit: Garmr, Gold Fox, Buccaneer, Gladiator, Elder Vampire, Rhea, Succubus.

  10. excuse me for broken english.

Can u explain me how works 2 nm with both proc.

    do you got twice 15 % + 15 % = 30 % bonus to base atk or 32.25 % bonus to base atk ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Your english is still better than 1/2 the country so no worries.

Each proc is considered individually so they do stack on top of each other. 100k deck*1.13=113k, then 13% is stacked on top of that so 127k.

That's why where I used to think debuffs were best I changed it to buffs being better.

      Delete
    2. Interesting, so it stacks separately, like 100k*1.13=113k*1.13=127k, and not at the same time, like 100k*1.26=126k?

      Delete
    3. Yep. Also, offense buffs are considered first and defense buffs are second.

      Delete
    4. i m the broken english dude ^^
Just create a more anonymous account.

      I would add :
stacking buff is good (more efficient each time)
staking debuff is bad (less efficient each time)

Defense should always go debuff as main cuz of timing. Using debuff after atk buff effect is even more efficient.

      Delete
    5. You can place a debuff card in the front runner spot of a defense deck but only use one if you do. Also keep in mind most debuffs you'd use in that spot have (ALL) as its modifier so they will only be 8%-10% instead of 13-15%.

Try to only use debuff cards if you have to.

      Delete
    6. If

      Atk deck got 3 buff/debuff +20 % any kind (+20/+20/+20 or -20%/-20%/-20%/ or...) and 100 k atk base

      Versus

      def deck with 1 debuff (-20%) and 2 buff + 20 % and 100 k def base

Atk can't win. Best atk should be +20/+20/-20 to withdraw. Any other combination would loose versus this def.

      Delete
    7. ACtually the skill buffs/debuffs are addctive and not multiplicative. The exact formula is here
      http://robforums.com/index.php?topic=277543.msg1525588#msg1525588

So for the 13% buff example, the buff damage would be 100k*(100%+13%+13%)=126k and not 127k
If the def deck has a -13% debuff, attacke's pwr would be 100k*(100%+13%+13%-13%)=113k. so actually % wise, buff and debuff should have same value

And for the above example, assume all 3x2 buffs goes off, it will always be a draw since attacker and defender will always get same x% buff/debuff. [Eg if attacker has net 40% buff (+20/+20/-20) , the defender will also have net 40% buff (+20/+20/+20) ]

      Delete
    8. Above mentioned buff/debuff should be of same value, theratically this is true ASSUMING ATTACKER AND DEFENDER STRENGTH ARE THE SAME.

Though in reality, we are usually attacking/defending decks that are stronger than us. In this case, debuff is preferred since you will minus off more points from the stronger opponent than trying to buff your weaker deck.

On the other hand as a defender, you can control your own realm alignment but can't control which realm will be attacking you, thus buff (realm) will be much better than debuff(realm)/debuff (all) as a conservative safer strategy.

IMO, for skill line up/selection, assuming all debuff/buff is of the same grade (medium/big/great/massive):
(Assuming you always fight stronger opponents, thus favors debuff by default)
Atk deck: Debuff (realm)[since you can choose player to attack] >buff (realm)>debuff (all)>buff (all)
Def deck: Buff (realm)>debuff (all)> buff (all) >debuff (realm)(low priority here since usefullness of the skill depends on luck of being attack by same realm players) > no skill

If the skill is of different grade (medium vs big/great), please refer to the skill table to see which one will give you more absolute % advantage.

      Delete
    9. I've had multiple high level players confirm from their own experiences that it is multiplicative by actually attacking so I would be shocked to find it was opposite. Even though one player seems to say otherwise on RoB Forums. If it is in fact additive debuffs are favored in cases where they a realm specific.

Of course in most cases debuffs are still worse all around because in order to be truly effective they need to have the (all) modifier lowering its percentage.
